Caregiver Requirements

To ensure the highest standard of care for our clients, all applicants must meet the following criteria before employment:

Valid New York State HHA or PCA Certificate
Recent comprehensive medical exam and immunization records
Two verifiable professional references
Authorized to work in the United States
A deeply compassionate, patient, and reliable personality

Becoming a Caregiver With Us: Quick Answers

What are the requirements to become a caregiver at Advantage Home Care?

A valid NYS HHA or PCA certificate (or enrollment in our free PCA training), legal authorization to work in the US, a physical and immunization record, references, and the required background check. Experience is welcome but not required for PCA roles.

Do you hire caregivers in every borough?

Yes: Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan and Staten Island. We place you close to home whenever possible and match you with clients who speak your language: Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Haitian Creole, Uzbek and more.

How fast can I start working?
